Now and then life affords us with serendipitous moments that give us unique opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. This week, the Monday Transmedia Storytelling class were lucky enough to have Jeff Gomez, Mark Pensavalle and Steele Filipek from Starlight Runner facilitate their seminar.
In what was an intensive discussion on corporate narrative, Jeff told students about the three key elements of storytelling. Perhaps most pertinent in the social media age was his discussion that ‘people will talk’. He outlined three key points for organisations to remain true to their core narrative:
As Jeff told students about ‘following the essence of the narrative’, this class learnt about authenticity firsthand, and saw the passion and drive that Starlight Runner have for the field of transmedia storytelling.
As Jeff said, ‘we have to fall in love’ whether it be with the company, organisation or brand, and for the Monday Transmedia Storytelling class, I think they are just a little bit in love with the passion that the Starlight Runner team displayed.
I’m asking the Monday class to share their insights about the day below – for all our Transmedia Storytelling students to benefit. What was your highlight?
