After what can only be described as a really awesome first semester for Transmedia Storytelling in 2015, we now take the best of our learnings into Semester 1, 2016 and present an even better, and more challenging unit (is that possible?). And it's not just my word, as one student pointed out: 'I just – I frickin’ – I love everything about it. I just loved that unit. That is by far my most favourite unit that I have ever done probably in all of my degree ever.'
This unit does inspire passion in students and it's because we ask you to look at the world a little differently and use your creativity in all your activities. It's a hands on unit and you'll produce material that may push you out of your comfort zone, but will give you skills that you'll take with you when you leave university.
The client we've lined up for this semester is highly passionate and offers students a unique opportunity to get involved something that is rolling out in real-time. Plus you'll have access to world-class knowledge on Transmedia Storytelling from the Starlight Runner team.
The semester promises to be educative in the best possible way - challenging, engaging and along the way a lot of fun. Have a look around the site for sample of last semester's work, as well as insight into the crisis simulation.
I look forward to welcoming the 2016 semester 1 class - it's going to be a great semester.
PS If you are a previous student following the blog still, how about a few words of advice or encouragement for the second cohort of Transmedia Storytelling? ;)
